Thank you so much to all the parents who are constantly helping us out with provding what ever we need to make the children's learning more play based, hands on and exploratory. During our learning of phonics and their sounds, the children were taught the vowels and the consonants. We expose our children to vowels and consonants to start to introduce the blending of letters to be able to introduce reading. the children were exposed to learning the difference between vowels and consonants using their name. the button below will explain the learning process.
During last week, the children learned about Safety they enjoyed practicing crossing the road in the classroom and to how to drop and roll in case of fire. The children enjoyed role playing different safety situations and we had several activities that took place inside and outside the classroom. We were able to ingrate recognizing numbers and number writing to 9 by making telephones and memorizing telephone numbers. The children were practicing to memorize Dad's Number.
Our class are going to go on the trip on Monday the 23rd January. Please send enough snack and water for the children. They will be playing a lot so they will be feeling hungry and thirsty. Thank you to the mums who have volunteered their time to help us supervise the children and to make sure they are safe.

Today was a very exciting day for our class, the children were very excited to go on the bus for the first time for their first feild trip in KG2. We were extremely lucky to visit Al Sulaiteen Agricultural Complex, it was such a beautiful expereince of being close to nature and to experience what nature is really about. We were able to feed the camel and see how flowers and plants grow. We also got to see the nursey for growing tomatoes. The children were facinated to see the tomamto tree and feel the tomatos hanging from the tree. Thank you very much for the mums who were extremely helpful in looking after our children for the sake of the children's safety. Thank you mums for your time and support

In our class today we were given the opportunity to participate in teh Hour of code. the children were introduced to the Hour of code and what it is, then Ms. Naida and I showed the children how to use the tablets and to use the application for the Hour of Code. The children were overwhelmed of the tablets as this is their first time, they were telling each other that this is a cool school because we have ipads (tablets). Since we have talked about leaving and non-living, the children were discussing whether plants are living things or non-living things. We conducted experiments and talked about making a hypothesis. The students were very much eager to know what plants need and how they grow. We also learned about parts of the plants and their function.
